To the postpartum unit tonight. Only three kiddies in the peds unit tonight so I get to be with the new mommys and babies! Love my job!
Jacqueline, 21. Florida. June 2011 marked the beginning of my journey to becoming a nurse. I am in a BSN program at the most amazing school and feel so blessed. I look forward to sharing my nursing school experiences with all of you. :)

Surprisingly, I was less tired the second night than the first night.
I seriously had the best time though and I am lucky to say that I work with some amazing people! I feel like I’m already part of the night shift family on my peds unit :)
Oh and for anyone interested, the worst part of night shift is the drive home in the morning!!! Cranking the A/C up super cold and loud music barely works to keep me from dozing off while driving! Guess I’m going to have to start calling people on the phone those mornings to keep me awake LOL
Will be this Friday night! Don’t know what to expect or how I’ll adjust to night shift, but I’m in my dream unit so I already know I’m going to love my job! Wish me luck.
P.s. Does anyone have any secrets to getting through night shift? Or how to adjust your sleep schedule?
