NSNA Convention 2012
Having so much fun!! Dance party time :)
Jacqueline, 21. Florida. June 2011 marked the beginning of my journey to becoming a nurse. I am in a BSN program at the most amazing school and feel so blessed. I look forward to sharing my nursing school experiences with all of you. :)
Having so much fun!! Dance party time :)
I love when my weeks end on a good note! The Dean of my nursing school found out I got the NSNA scholarship and all my professors were so happy for me. They set up a meeting for me next week to take pictures and I believe an interview and I have to dress in professional attire :)
This week at clinical I finished my carp experience and we all got certificates. At med-surg clinical I pulled out my first NG tube, did my client education project on how to use an incentive spirometer, and I emptied my first ileostomy!
Tomorrow NSA at my school organized a service project at Quantum House and we are cooking a St. Patrick’s day dinner for the kids and families. We are decorating the entire house in St. Patrick’s day theme and we are setting up cupcake decorating for the kids! It is going to be a blast and mostly all my professors will be there!
I love my nursing family!! Pictures of tomorrow will be up after :)
Booked my flight for the NSNA Convention :) Yayyyy
Trying to book a flight to this convention has been exhausting. Every time I find something, it goes to another page and says there are no seats on the plane yet it doesn’t erase the flight from the list! And the prices keep rising each day.
Can’t wait until this flight is booked! Blehh
Got this letter in the mail today :)
I am a recipient of the 2012 Promise of Nursing scholarship awarded by The Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association, Inc.!
SO EXCITED!!!! This news makes up for the awful week I had last week!
Who in their right mind actually wishes they were in school and not on break? As the fall semester was coming to an end I wanted so badly for it to be over already, but ever since my NSA officer’s meeting I’ve been anxious to start school again…and this was the day after we got out of school for break! HAHA
I am just beyond excited to be leading my school’s chapter of NSA next year. I spent all day yesterday and today coming up with community service project ideas and fundraising ideas. I just see all the possibilities that come along with being on the board and I cannot wait.
I think I am most excited to hopefully be taking over for the seniors this spring semester and going to the annual NSNA convention. This year it is in Pittsburgh, PA. Just being able to network and make connections. To think that in a year and a half I could have my dream job…WOW.
Each day I thank God that I have been blessed to attend such an amazing school with the most amazing classmates and professors. Someone pinch me, please.
